A couple quick “housekeeping” things:
- After a lot of thinking about how my blog name and my URL do not match (chasingdaylight.com was not available), I decided I would change the name of my blog. I know it was confusing that they didn’t say the exact same thing in the first place, so I hope this slight alteration helps! My blog is now called Chase Daylight. If you could make the change in your blogrolls, that would be marvelous! Thank you so much 🙂
- Your responses to guest posting were awesome! I still have 2 spots left…any takers??? Email me at chasedaylight.blog@gmail.com if you’re interested.

It’s official, this week has been one of my busiest yet! My schedule is all over the place with extra meeting times and additional work hours…I can’t even believe I’ve barely been home 2 hours during the day since Monday! I hadn’t done anything in my training plan since Saturday’s race and I was definitely feeling down about it after work tonight. I decided to suck up my exhaustion and just go run on the treadmill at the gym. I headed over there around 8 PM and knocked out a great 2 miles. Now I feel better about the fact that I’m scheduled to run 5.5 miles on Sunday. It’s not as daunting as it was this morning when I was thinking about it!
I had my last school assignment due this morning and I’m home-free as far as assignments to turn in until after spring break! I still have a crazy internship/work schedule tomorrow and Friday, but then I’m off to Melbourne, Miami, Key West, Cozumel, and Sarasota! Speaking of Cozumel, has anyone seen the recent warnings against spring breakers traveling to Mexico because of drug crimes and stuff? What do you think about this? I’m a little scared now! Good thing we’ll be there during the day.
Today’s Eats…
It’s a good thing I keep a blog because otherwise I would have never remembered what I ate today!
Breakfast was a Green with Envy smoothie:
- large handful organic spinach
- 1 banana
- 1 organic kiwi
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup carrot juice
- 1 tbsp. ground flax
Delicious! I brought it to seminar and definitely got some stares at my green-filled cup! A lot of people thought it was gross, but I assured them it tastes great!
Mid-Morning snack was an Almond Bumble Bar to hold me over until lunch (cell phone pic).
Lunch was (SURPRISE!) a Amy’s Non-Dairy Burrito. I also snagged a cheese stick to eat with it at work.
Dinner…I haven’t eaten dinner yet. I didn’t get hungry until now (it’s about 11:00 PM) and I’m debating over what light thing I should eat before bed. Maybe a homemade almond butter/banana sandwich on honey oatmeal bread? Probably…
I just realized I didn’t eat a whole lot today…Hm, I’ll have to make up for that tomorrow. I hate being too busy to eat properly!
Off to bed! 7:30 AM wake-up call tomorrow. I need to seriously catch up on some sleep!
Goodnight lovelies!!!

I kind of like the new name – it has a hopeful tone.

I’ve been the same with eats – I def. haven’t been eating as much lately, I’ve just been so busy and literally running around nonstop!
I’m so excited to see how your cruise goes!! 🙂 🙂

Amy’s Burritos are the perfect to-go meal! And they taste fantastic too!
And I’m so jealous of that green smoothie! I need to start making them again!

Making up for food losses should be fun! Haha. About the crime, I may be naive (naiive?), but I just don’t think about this when traveling. Just keep your belongings tight against your body and go with the flow. If you don’t want to carry a purse, there are small, flat napsack type-things that you can wear under clothing that will hold your money, ID, passport.

I have tried the Original and the Almond. I think I liked the Original better though! The texture is just amazing (very seedy) and they’re pretty light and sweet.
I leave Saturday to start driving to Miami and the the cruise departs on Monday evening!
