Good evening everyone! Evan asked me to share with you a significant article called The Anti-Cancer Diet (thanks honey!). This article gives some really great advice and guidelines to eat properly and keep cancer away. Check it out and let us know what you think!
Dinner
I really did not feel like cooking dinner tonight. I didn’t feel like doing much of anything today actually. Oh well, back to the grind tomorrow! So for dinner I decided to go to one of my favorite sushi places, Rolls ‘n Bowls. I had the Mini Spicy Bowl with tuna and the Steamed Veggie Dumplings. Yum, yum, yummm! It was so filling that I couldn’t finish the bowl.
Dessert was another serving of Edy’s Slow-Churned Peppermint ice cream. This stuff is ADDICTING! Good thing Evan ate like half of my container last night! 😀 (oh yeah, and that’s a real peppermint candy I threw in there from Rolls ‘n Bowls!)
My run tonight went okay. I felt wonderful afterward, but the during really sucked! I was hurting almost the whole time (cramping, burning lungs, ugh). I’m trying to understand why I feel worse NOW than I did when I started this over a week ago. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me? Could it possibly just be the colder weather, or am I doing something wrong?
This is such a short post but I need to hit the hay. Believe it or not, I’m exhausted, even after sleeping in this morning. Plus, I have a paper I need to get done. See you all tomorrow night and don’t forget to read the article 😀

The same thing happened to me, in terms of running and feeling worse in week 2 than week 1. Colder weather is definitely a factor, esp. for us Floridians since our bodies hardly ever experience colder weather. But plus your body is just adjusting to your new workout regime. 🙂 I don’t know if you’re like me, but don’t forget to stretch! I try to make a point to stretch before and after, and I really have to force myself because I just get anxious and like to go right away, or I get lazy and forget about it when I get back. 🙂 Good luck on your paper!

mmm, dinner looks yummy!! I’ll read the article later tonight, but thanks for posting it. Hm, the running thing… yea, I’ll have really off days were I feel like crap and I have the hardest time ever running… its like my body wont go… even though two days before I had a fantastic run… it’s dumb. I think it’s just one of those things that ‘s determined by the right combo of what you eat the previous day/sleep/ and overall health. I guess if you get a wonky combo of the three it throws you off. Or your body is just like “mmm not so much, we’re not running today.” :O)

I LOVE Rolls n Bolls! It’s a family favorite when ever we pass through G-Ville! Also I am addicted to the Peppermint Ice Cream as well! 🙂
All I can tell you is to keep at running until your body is used to it. It takes a while until your body starts responding to running in a positive way. What you described is exactly how I started out. I would huff and puff for a mile and take lots of walk breaks, but I always felt great afterward which is what had me running back for more. Eventually the huffing and puffing eased down as I learned to breathe during the runs and my legs felt the need to go on for longer miles. It all takes time. 🙂

Yeah I think the thing with running is some days go great..and then there are all the other days leading up to that one. 🙂 I say listen to your body and it usually goes better
