First of all, I want to thank all of you who participated in this exciting giveaway. It was my first time hosting one and I can’t wait to do it again!

I learned that a lot of you already have some awesome safety habits that I’d never considered (like leaving a running route behind for your roommate or sig. other before you leave and carrying a cell phone!) While you are all pretty safe, I think everyone realized the added safety that this product could bring to their outdoor excursions. If you aren’t a winner during this giveaway, I strongly encourage you visit Ladies Only Sports and pick one up for yourself! They’re only $10.50 and the shipping was pretty reasonably when I ordered mine. I hope you are never in a situation where you have to use this product, but seriously, better safe than sorry!

On that note…we have some winners!!!

I used Random.org to select the two winners for this giveaway.

I’m going to respond to all your questions cause they rock!

1. I have run in the dark but I don’t like to. Like you, I’m way jumpy cause I think someone’s going to jump out at me at any second!

2. I def listen to my music too loud, but i’m super aware of my surroundings, so i think i’m ok.

3. I don’t own a road id and really really want/need one. I would not only use it for running too but out on the boat because if we get thrown off and get hurt they’ll have no idea where to find my bag and ids!

4. I do get tunnel vision because i have a bad habit of staring at the ground when i run, but i’m usually good about looking up every 30 seconds to see what’s around and keep aware.

As part of my dog walking job I usually go running with a four legged friend, but there is the occasion where I have to go alone, and am running in isolated areas!

I would love to have this as a precaution!!!

Congratulations ladies!!! Email me with your contact information and shipping address, so Ladies Only Sports can send you your prize!

I had an interesting night of sleep. I managed to doze off pretty early (about 10:15 PM) but woke up around 3 AM after a nightmare. All of a sudden I was really paranoid about closing my eyes to fall back asleep and I wound up staying up until almost 4 AM. I finally fell back asleep until 6 AM at which point I was exhausted and literally could not get myself to move until 6:30 AM. I know how to get ready in a half hour time, so this wasn’t too big of a deal. Ugh, I hate nightmares. They can truly ruin a good night of sleep. Does anyone else have that problem?

Luckily, I had prepared a lovely breakfast cookie last night and was able to grab-n-go on my way out the door! This cookie had 2/3 cup oats, 2 spoonfuls of pumpkin butter, 1 spoonful almond butter, 1 tbsp. ground flax seed, a dash of coconut, a dash of oat milk, some pumpkin granola, and last but not least, dark chocolate chips inspired by Courtney over at The Hungry Yogini!

Mid-morning snack was an Apple Pie Larabar (was really wishing it was a vanilla Chobani with granola, but it was still good!).

Lunch was a Cheddar Cheese Amy’s Burrito (my working lunch staple) and an orange.

Mid-afternoon/Pre-Yoga snack was another green with envy smoothie! This one had a handful of organic baby spinach, 2 organic kale leaves, 1 small ripened banana, 1 tbsp. ground flax, 1/2 cup Bolthouse Carrot Juice (see pic below), 1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Milk and ice. I added a little agave nectar to the top but it definitely did not need it. This drink was sweeeeeet. Too sweet for my liking but I drank it anyway.

Dinner was supposed to be at a sushi restaurant called Dragonfly for my friend Liz’s 21st birthday. Unfortunately, we got there too late after yoga and the dinner had been served really fast to her large party (did not think that was going to happen). I got to say Happy Birthday to her earlier in the day (we both nanny for the same family) and give her the present I got her. However, I felt a bad about missing her dinner 😦 Evan and I still showed up to the restaurant to see her and say Happy Birthday again before she went out. Luckily, I’ll probably see her in Tampa on Saturday night for a little while and celebrate at Channelside!

Anyway, in an attempt to save some money and get to bed at a decent hour, we came back to my house and made a quick dinner instead of staying at Dragonfly for sushi. I had another veggie burger tonight with some Annie’s Whole Wheat and White Cheddar shells. The veggie burger had spinach, two thin slices of RF cheddar, and ketchup on Sesame Ezekial. Very filling and yummy. I didn’t have my camera downstairs (lazy me!) and my camera phone photo isn’t sending. Oh well, you can imagine what it looks like, right?

Alright, I’m off to bed. It got so late SO quick and I still have some homework things to type up for internship tomorrow morning.

Thanks for waiting so patiently for this post! Thank goodness the internet started working again (after a lot of unplugging and resetting things when I got home tonight).

Goodnight!
